Aren't breaks supposed to be relaxing?

So we had 2.5 days off for Thanksgiving. Wednesday afternoon I had my kids over for chili in celebreation of winning Spirit Week. We made s'mores over the gas burners on the oven for dessert. Thursday we had a big dinner at the Fitches (turkey with all the fixin's - I made a chocolate chess pie that did not want to co-operate, so all the cocoa ended up on the top.) We hung out for a while then a bunch of us went to get manicures for about $15. It was nice; my nails are really long right now and when I gave the girl my hands she squealed. Then we went back to the Fitches and Keith and I decided to get some food; so he and I went to get kalbi. We fixed a time for him to come do my hair for the next day then parted (it was about 9 or 10 by then). He came at 8:30am on Friday and did my hair. Then we went shopping for Christmas Presents in Insa-dong. Got many much good things including a necklace for me that I bought about 5 seconds after seeing it. Then back to my place and he decided he did not like my hair and wanted to re-highlight it. By the time he left it was about 10:30pm. I love and adore Keith (in a strictly brother sort of way) but he's rather enegertic and hyper so by the end of the day I was beat. Then he decided he wanted to hang out again on Saturday so we did more shopping and I got a lovely Hermes knock-off black bag. Upon looking the real one online we saw that the bag is about $2,000. I spent no-where near that on it. Then back about 9 (another 6 hours with him). And then I got a phone call today from him telling me he wanted to do something. We went for dinner after sitting on a wall for about 30min trying to make a decision. I can see that while Keith is here I will be tired; but thats ok. He's fun and I can deal. We are planning on doing something next weekend too. With him its constant gogogogogo.

Disclaimer: It may look like Keith and I are having some sort of fling (some people here think that) but we are not; we are just friends. One of us would kill the other in very short order.

Breaks? Relaxing? Not a chance, I'm pretty sure.

Your "fine print" there sort of reminds me of what I was saying about my boyfriend in the weeks/months leading up to his being my boyfriend... ;-)

lol. For shame, Mel. Take the woman at her word! ;-)

It sounds like you're having a great time.
